After qualifying rounds, Team TORC 2137 moved to the sweet sixteen, and in the alliance portion of the competition advanced to the final four.
Team TORC did not receive the state championship, but did win the coveted Michigan FRC State Championship Gracious Professionalism Award.
Senior Conner McGarry won the Kettering FIRST Scholarship worth $22,500, and is now the second TORC student to earn this scholarship.
Most importantly, all three Team TORC seniors will attend college this fall to major in engineering. Scholarship winner Conner McGarry will attend Kettering University, Jenny Yell goes to Wayne State University, and Boomer Logan will go to Michigan Technological University.
