As fast as their little legs could carry them, students at Clear Lake, Leonard, Oxford and Daniel Axford elementaries ran round and round in circles on Friday.
No, the teachers weren’t just trying to tire them out after lunch. Each school held its annual fund run to raise money for their PTO groups. The students got plenty of exercise and they helped make their schools better places. Good job!
Run for funds!
Mark McClenaghan (left) and his second-grade daughter, Victoria, had fun participating in Leonard Elementary’s Fund Run held on Friday. Running in the background is second-grader Claire Clifton. Although monies are still being collected, the Fund Run, as of Oct. 2, raised $2,576 for the school’s PTO. Leonard students ran a total of 1,887 laps. Great job, everyone! Photo by C.J. Carnacchio.
