Saved that cat

The situation looked bleak for a local feline recently and were it not for the fast rescue efforts of four humans, could have been deadly.
According to reports by the Oxford Village, two young girls came to the police station on June 18 with a piece of wood in their hands. Upon further inspection, there was a small kitten with its head stuck in a hole of the board. Some quick thinking by Officer Clint Ascroft and DPW staffer Bridget Burke-Chiera saved that little kitty. Burke-Chiera brought in a saw and together with Ascroft sawed the cat to freedom.
