Downtown Oxford’s annual Scarecrow Festival returns on Saturday, Oct. 11 beginning at 10 a.m. in Centennial Park.
The festival will include a chili cook-off between local restaurants, a parade of costumed pets, a hay maze and pumpkin bowling.
There will also be an inflatable obstacle course, train rides for children, live entertainment and trick-or-treating at many local businesses.
Merge Studio & Gallery (33 Pleasant St.) will conduct costume contests for children and adults. Registration begins at 11 a.m.
Idle Awhile Coffee will have hot cider and baked goods available.
‘Wiches is sponsoring a costume contest for the best ‘witch? outfit.
All contest winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. in Centennial Park.
