Scouts display ‘can-do? attitude

Cars, vans and trucks came in bunches, loaded with cans of vegetables, fruit, soup, boxes of pasta, cereal and desserts as part of the annual ‘Can-Do Food Collection? and the Boy Scouts of America’s ‘Scouting for Food? drive.
All these items and more were collected for the benefit of hungry families in Oakland County on Nov. 10.
The Scouts went door-to-door collecting food donations from generous residents, and brought them to a local Big Boy restaurant for sorting and packing.
Boy Scout Troop 128 of Lake Orion staffed the I-75 and Baldwin Road Big Boy, packing more than 81 heavy boxes of food destined to make the holidays a little brighter for area families.
