Independence Elementary students learned about service at their annual S.O.C.K.S. Day, Servicing Our Community Kid Style.
Staff and volunteers led students K-5 in a wide variety of projects, March 11, to help local people in need.
S.O.C.K.S. Day, coordinated by teacher Corena Bell, was the culminating activity of weeks of learning, and included a building-wide celebration and demonstration, then projects by each class.
