Shhhh? puppies in training

More than 15 puppies and owners took the Monday night puppy socialization class through the Summer Adult Enrichment program.
Instructor Patty Hinson has taught obedience classes for more than 30 years and said the Community Education classes are affordable. Children are welcome to participate in the classes.
‘Getting training helps the animal stay out of the shelters,? said Hinson. ‘Get the training done when they are young. Down the road it is harder to train.?
Puppy participants rainged in age from up to six months and performed the maneuvers well. The eight week, $98 class teaches basic obedience, socialization, basic nutrition, canine nutrition and puppy care.
On July 8, the puppies learned the ‘English Language.?
Hinson explained to the studentsthat teaching the dog English words is vital and that the dogs must be taught the language. She said once taught the proper command can save a dogs life.
Hinson said her parents also taught dog obedience and she has taught in the schools for many years and will teach another class starting in the fall.
