Downtown Oxford will be featured on the television show Discover Detroit! airing 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18 on WTVS Detroit Public Television.
Produced by Cavalier Pictures and hosted by Veronica Vance, Discover Detroit! is a half-hour travel show sponsored by the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Each week show features three segments profiling different things to see and do in the Metro Detroit area.
The show was in Oxford Saturday filming from about 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to Producer Andy Vance, the Oxford segment should run about seven to eight minutes and feature a walking tour of downtown’s ‘quaint shops? plus an interview with village Manager Joe Young.
The segment is designed to give viewers ‘an overall feel of what Oxford’s all about,? Vance explained.
During the show’s walking tour, the camera crew stopped inside and filmed Victoria’s Delights, Great Lakes Mercantile, Beadifferent Boutique and the Oxford Wine & Beverage Co.
Vance said the show featuring Oxford will be rerun later this month and in January.
