Oxford’s softball team tried their best, but continued to falter last week.
On Thursday, the ladies lost a doubleheader to Fenton 5-0 and 8-2.
Coach Sue Roeher said the team couldn’t get any offense going in game #1, but out-played Fenton in game #2. Out of the 7 runs Fenton scored in the bottom of the 6th, only one was earned, she said. Chelsea Kessler and Jennifer Taraski played ‘great defense.?
On Monday, the team lost a doubleheader to Clio 11-1 and 8-3. Roeher said the 5th inning continued to be the defense’s Achilles heal.
The team is now 3-12 overall and 0-6 in the FML.
