The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department arrested two Detroit men for soliciting without a permit on Aug. 13 after they pepper sprayed a dog on Regency.
According to an OCSD report, deputies were called to the Regency home after a 46-year-old Detroit man and a 43-year-old Detroit man who were soliciting pepper sprayed the homeowner’s dog. The 46-year-old man told deputies that he did not see flags marking an invisible fence and thought the dog was going to attack him, so he pepper sprayed it.
Both men were unable to produce a permit to solicit. They were both cited and released. The dog’s owner was advised to wash the dog down with water. Deputies said the dog appeared to be doing all right at the time.
