Spotlight on OES

Oxford Elementary students shined in the spotlight Feb. 16 as they performed in their school’s annual talent show held at Lakeville Elementary.
Sponsored by the OES Student Council, 53 little performers took center stage for the two-hour show.
Dancing and singing acts were by far the most popular among the kids as they comprised the majority of the show.
Dancers included Baillie Terrian, Marissa Wick, Jessica Howell, Jordyn Hillary, Shelby Gulda, Chelsea Wilkerson, Molly Neeson, Carson Johnson, Stephanie Bush, Erin Jones, Larissa Krueger, Bianka Kristen, Alixandra Jyawook, Alison Gallivan, Mara Scribner, Alexandria Dietz, Deidre Ward, Emily Springstube, Zoe Lewis, Kayla Vellucci, Brittany Basela, Jessica Helton, Lindsay Beck, Cassie Galbraith, Marissa Medina, Ali Highducheck, Brooke Grubb, Hannah Rogers and Carly Anderson.
Singers were Paige Brinker, Kelsey Harrison, Janelle Washington, Timothy Daniel, Laurel Carnovsky, Erica Marracco, Krystal Tucker, Nicole Allen, Taylor Shick and Andrea Sonia.
Lauren Martelli and McKenzie Siewert played the piano while Tanner Hetchler peformed a drum solo.
Mary Everett delivered a cute performance on her recorder while Taylor Barret and Britni Tarr delighted the audience with their gymnastic skills.
Colton Jones and Ross Chapman juggled Beanie Babies while Gabe Paese cracked parents up with his unique sound effects.
The most unusual and interesting act of the evening was Stephanie White and Sammi Kurk performing an entire song in sign language. But it was Brian Brougham, Owen Bachusz and Alex Grodzicki who brought the house down with their ‘Air Band? rock concert complete with strobe lights and lasers.
Everyone did a great job and the show was a smash hit.
