St. Joseph honors NJHS inductees

At an October 11th induction ceremony, 17 new members from St. Joseph School were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, a program that recognizes students as leaders at the school.
These members, along with those inducted at last year’s ceremony, are chosen because of their demonstration of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Citizenship, and Character.
Last year, the National Junior Honor Society adopted a school in Meru, Kenya, and raised money to buy the school science equipment that will help to train young people to eventually become doctors, a much needed profession in the area.
This year, they will continue to support that school by raising money to buy much-needed books for the children. This will be an awarding experience for all of our National Junior Honor Society members.
The new inductees were Jack Billings, Hayley Boggs, Jimmy Budreau, Katie Cox, Rebekah Engler, Bridget Geraghty, Madison Hargraves, Mandy Hibbler, Andy Kozyra, Andrew Machnacki, Ryan Michalec, Tommy Moeller, Michelle Phalen, Mackenzie Pohlman, RJ Saroli, Justin Warstler and Gabe Wrobel.
Members inducted last year were Malena D’Alessandro, Chrissy DeLaere*, Michael Galvin, Taylor Hargraves*, Lauren Krzisnik, Emma Martin*, Kaleigh Pohlman*, Keith Watza, Brenden Welper and Alexandra Zacharevich (*denotes a newly-appointed officer of NJHS).
Faculty members dedicated to the success of the NJHS members include Mrs. Bero, Mrs. Coffin, Mrs. Cudnohufsky, Mrs. Ferstle, Mrs. Kozyra and Mrs. Walter.
