Brandon Twp.- Enrollment for the winter session of STARS is being held the first two weeks of January.
The after school free tutoring program, sponsored by the Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance and the Brandon School District, meets from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Jan. 15, at the Clarkston Lakes Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 4260 Dogwood. The program features eight volunteers on average as well as a facilitator and parapro to help children with reading, math and general homework help. Sign-up soon, only 20 students can be accepted into the program. STARS is still seeking volunteers after a successful first semester.
