No matter what part of Oakland County you live in, The Stone Shop has a location that’s convenient for you.
The Stone Shop in Rochester has been in business for almost 50 years, located at the corner of Auburn and Rochester Roads.
The business is family-run, and Stone Shop President Gary Vermander, along with his brother Ken and their partner Denny Pleva, opened an additional location in Oxford for over two years, just off Oakwood Road on Mullins Court.
Vermander is no stranger to Oxford, having graduated from Oxford High School. He had been looking for another location for The Stone Shop for a while, and found the perfect spot not far from M-24.
The Stone Shop in Oxford has an expanded showroom with many samples on display, as well as a spacious production facility.
The Stone Shop cuts and fabricates Indiana Limestone for pier caps, keys, sills, window and door surrounds, coping, fireplaces, veneer, accents, benches, quoins, address stones, balustrades, ball ornaments, and signs.
They also offer custom cutting and carving, as well as sandstone for homes, commercial buildings and churches.
The Stone Shop also supplies natural stones and man-made products, and have brick and block cutting capabilities.

Vermander says with the state of Michigan’s economy, many people are looking to remodeling as opposed to new home construction.
The Stone Shop has many products to assist them in any remodeling project.
The Stone Shop also does business with builders, mason contractors, architects, and general contractors, as well as homeowners.
Besides building products, customers can also find shims for pond and garden edging, as well as soaps and polishes that keep marble, granite and slate looking like new.
