Sunny weather and fresh produce

Whether it was homemade carmels, Kettle Corn, fresh produce, flowers or homemade soaps, 200 folks seemed to be happy the Farmers Market is back in town.
‘I think we’re off to a good start. We had a total of 13 vendors ? said Market Manager Janet Hartman after the Market’s opening on June 6. ‘The weather was fantastic and we had great support from our community and our local press.?
Hartman said she already has two more vendors lined up for next week.
‘The Granola lady will be back next week,? she said. ‘I also have a potential guy selling salsa.?
At the June 20 Gleaners Food Bank will be on sight at the market as well. She said they will be at the market once a month collecting non-perishable food items.
‘If people bring in a minimum of five non-perishables food items, I will give them a free canvas Farmer’s Market tote bag.
The Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. until August 29.
