Oxford Boys swim finished fourth at the League meet held Feb. 21 at Lake Orion High School.
200 Medley Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Stresky (junior), Scribner (junior), Vandecar (senior), and Terry (sophomore) came in 4th with a time of 1:46.88, which is a season-best time. 200 Freestyle: Cheyne Stresky (junior) came in 5th with a season-best time of 1:51.22. Chad Scribner (junior), Armando Vega (sophomore), and Sean Terry (sophomore) came in 10th, 12th, and 13th place respectively. 200 Individual Medley: Erick Vandecar (senior) took 4th place with a season-best time of 2:07.38.
50 Freestyle: Blake Hibdon (senior) finished in 2nd place with a D1 State Qualifying time of 22.36. He was also named All-League in this event. Marco Campagiorni (senior) came in 2nd place with a new school record of 357.45 points. He was named All-league in this event. Jared Tasch (junior) and Brandon Barrows (freshman) finished in 5th and 12th place respectively. Marco and Jared are moving on to diving regionals which are a week from today at L’Anse Creuse North. The top 12 divers out of each region move on to the state competition on March 7th and 8th. 100 Butterfly: Sean Terry (sophomore) finished in 7th place with a time of 58.54. 100 Freestyle: Blake Hibdon (senior) finished in 2nd with a D1 State Qualifying time of 49.05. Erick Vandecar (senior) and Armando Vega (sophomore) finished in 11th and 14th place respectively. 500 Freestyle: Cheyne Stresky (junior) finished in 4th place with a time of 5:00.64.
200 Freestyle Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Vandecar (senior), Scribner (junior), Vega (sophomore), and Hibdon (senior) came in 3rd with a season-best time of 1:33.44. 100 Breaststroke: Chad Scribner (junior) took 9th place with a personal-best time of 1:07.98. 400 Freestyle Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Hibdon (senior), Vega (sophomore), Terry (sophomore), and Stresky (junior) came in 4th with a season-best time of 3:24.38.
