Term limits prompt Scott to seek House seat in 51st

Goodrich – In his last year of law school at the University of Michigan, Republican Paul Scott, 25, has announced his candidacy for state representative in the 51st State House District.
Concerned about the loss of jobs in Michigan, Scott said he believes his role as a state representative will give him the best avenue to make changes.
‘I look back at the kids I graduated with, said Scott. They did their work, went to school and then couldn’t find a job here. They have had to leave the state to get employment. We are losing the best and the brightest. What is going to happen down the road??
It is his education as a law student that Scott believes will enable him to see multiple sides of each issue from an objective viewpoint.
A graduate of Grand Blanc High School, Scott has coached baseball at Goodrich High School, earned a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University, and since 2005 has worked as Deputy Director of the Gallup World Poll.
Three-term state Rep. Dave Robertson, ( R-Grand Blanc Twp.), cannot run again due to term limits.
