Dear editor,
On the evening of Jan. 10, after coming home from work, my husband, Paul, had a sudden and severe headache with nausea and dizziness. He was transported to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital Regional Medical Center and, later that evening, to Detroit Medical Centers. He had a hemorrhagic stroke and a month later we have found the cause to be arteriovenous malformation. He has had two surgeries and will have radiation in the future to block other malformations. He spent almost three months at the Detroit Medical Centers? facilities and is now home. We are looking at months of therapy. He is doing great and we are grateful and blessed to have him with us. I have had tremendous help and support from this great community we live in. I would like to sincerely thank the wonderful friends, neighbors and family who have volunteered to watch my girls, ages 4 and 6, so I could be with Paul. Thank you to the woman who provided meals, support and prayers. Thank you, Brandon Fire Department, for a quick response and perspectives for providing support with medical expenses. Thank you, Calvary Lutheran Church, and the great people who have made this Easter memorable for the children. Thank you, God, for giving me the strength to hold it together during these hard times and for bringing these wonderful people into my life. I could not have done it without any one of you.
Bless you all,
Kaussar Hurin
