Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people that were involved in helping me find my 12-year-old lost chocolate lab, ‘Chelsea.? I was overwhelmed with the response from numerous people that I received a phone call from saying that they had seen my dog. Thank you to the neighbors that helped me search by making signs and talking to other neighbors. Thank you, to all of the people on Oakwood Road for not only their concern, but for physically helping me look for her on their golf cart, to a passing motorcycle rider trying to find out who her owner was, to someone who was on her way to work and spotted her and called me, when they didn’t even know me. Ultimately, I wish to thank the person in Brandon Township who called the Oakland County Animal Control to have her picked up because she knew that my Chelsea needed to get home. I received a call from the deputy that picked her up on Thursday night and I was there to pick her up first thing on Friday morning. She was very weak, very scared and very thin, but she is home now where she belongs and very, very happy. Thank you all for helping her and me have a happy ending and for having tears of joy instead of sorrow.
