The Lake Orion Review is one of the sponsors of this year’s Fall Golf Classic, held by the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 4 at Copper Hills Golf and Country Club.
This is the chamber’s third year of having the event, which is a business scholarship fundraiser.It begins with a morning shotgun start, and also sponsoring the event this year are Oxford Bank and Copper Hills.
Sponsors, goodie bag items, golfers and volunteers are needed. The cost is $600 for a foursome (registration by Aug. 15 is $550) or $150 per individual golfer. Dinner only is $50.
The event includes a putting green, goodie bags, 18 holes and lunch on the turn, a dinner, silent auction, contest and challenges, including 50/50 raffles and more. Prizes will be presented for event winner, second place, high team score, longest drive-women’s, longest drive-men’s, closest to pin-women’s, closest to pin-men’s.
Sponsorships are available for St. Andrews, $300, including a banner, two hole sponsorships, one foursome, promotion on the chamber’s website, inclusion in marketing materials, and thank you introduction at dinner for $3,000. The Augusta sponsor receives a one hole sponsorship, one foursome, promotion on the website, inclusion in marketing materials for $1,500.
The Pebble Beach sponsor receives one hole sponsorship and $200 with purchase of a foursome for $250. The Prize sponsor can purchase more than one for $50.
The Golf Classic funds the chamber’s scholarship program, which consists of two scholarships. One is given to a chamber member (or family member) and to a junior or senior college student of business from the Orion area.
