Oxford Village Police apprehended a 31-year-old man wanted by the Michigan Department of Corrections.
According to reports, on Monday night the man, Gary W. Ellis, was arrested in the back yard of a Staton St. home. Police were alerted to Ellis? whereabouts by an annonymous tip.
Ellis was wanted by the MDOC for parole violations on an original charge of burglary.
He was locked up in the Oxford jail around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, and was still there late Tuesday morning.
