Tournament Day for LO Girls Softball League

The Lake Orion Girls Softball League held their Tournament Day on June 14 at Orion Township’s Civic Center Park.
Winning the Junior Division was the Pyramid Solutions team, coached by KC Fenstermaker; and winning the Intermediate Division was the Tri-County Sports team, coached by John Fisher. Other winners were the Lakers team in the senior division, and the Heatlh Quest team.
The Lake Orion Girls Softball League meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at Hamlin Pub. The president of the league is John Collins, vice president is Ruth Costigan, treasurer is Darlene Lawless and secretary is Dave Ouzouman.
“The league grew by 4 percent this year, each year we grow,” said Collins. “We are looking forward to next year, having more developmental skills camps, as well as offering travel ball for those girls who want to challenge themselves.”
“This league is run by volunteers,” Costigan said. “To be a part of making this a positive experience for your child, please consider being involved. Everyone is welcome, and the bottom line is, this is for the girls.”
