Atlas Twp. – By a 5-0 vote on Monday night, the township board of trustees approved a motion to get help from the Village of Goodrich to do some clean-up work.
The bike path from downtown Goodrich to Oaktree Elementary School will be cleared of rocks and debris by the middle of April.
‘We don’t have the truck to do it,? said Paul Amman, township supervisor. ‘The bike path is in dire need of sweeping, so we are going take the Village up on their offer to clear it.?
Street Administrator Pete Morey said the Village of Goodrich Department of Public Works will do the work.
Amman said the agreement with the village is for one year and will cost the township about $600.
‘There is no contract,? said Amman. ‘This is a handshake deal.?
