Township homes hit by series of break-ins, larcenies

Brandon Twp.- Within a span of 40 minutes on Tuesday afternoon, two township homes were broken into and a third break-in attempt was thwarted when the homeowner yelled, surprising the suspect.
According to police reports, the first home invasion occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Hummer Lake Road when a front door was shouldered in. At press time, it was unknown what was taken. A short time later, in the 100 block of Sashabaw Road, a woman watched as a male attempted to shoulder in her front door and at about 1:10 p.m., a third home’s front door was shouldered in, in the 5100 block of Seymour Lake Road, with three jewelry boxes taken.
The suspect vehicle was an unknown model sport utility vehicle, white or gray in color with a silver-colored spare wheel cover. The vehicle was occupied by a white male with dark hair and a middle-aged blonde female.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Detective Chris Pacholski urges homeowners to call police at 248-858-4911 if they see any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area.
