The Orion Township Board has accepted, in concept, an agreement between Orion Township and the Village of Lake Orion to have the township provide building inspection services to the village.
The board asked that the agreement come to the board for final approval at the next board meeting, along with the three inspectors? contracts.
Orion Building Official Tom Berger said the village would stillimaintain their own planning and zoning departments. The township should assume responsibility for village inspections on Jan. 1, 2005.
