Two men, pulled over for speeding on Baldwin Road, were caught with marijuana plants after a search of their vehicle by Oakland County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
The incident started as a routine traffic stop. According to the OCSD report, the men were driving nine miles-per-hour over the posted limit on southbound Baldwin near the Great Lakes Athletic Club on Nov. 28.
The deputy pulled them over and identified the ‘fresh pungent odor? of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The driver, a 24-year-old Ortonville man, gave consent for a search of the vehicle.
Both the driver and his 18-year-old accomplise/brother admitted that there were four marijuana plants concealed under jackets in the vehicle’s back seat.
The deputy’s search yielded four plants, approximately one-and-a-half feet tall.
Both men were arrested for marijuana sale/manufacture.
