A couple checked into the Best Western on Lapeer Road late Friday night, but soon found themselves kicked to the curb, with disorderly persons citations from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
According to an OCSD report, a 30-year-old Troy man and a 26-year-old Troy woman checked into the hotel and were soon found in the pool area after posted hours.
After being asked to leave the pool by a hotel employee, the front desk received numerous calls complaining of the noise level in the couple’s room.
The desk got even more complaints after workers advised the pair to quiet down.
Deputies soon arrived on the scene and noted that the subjects in question appeared to be highly intoxicated, with slurred speech and very little balance. A cab company was called to escort the couple from the premises.
The male subject, arguing and yelling at the responding officer, then approached the officer and was handcuffed until the cab arrived.
Their belongings were gathered and the cab took the pair home, but not before they had been cited for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
