Trustees should accept people’s vote on senior center

Dear Editor,
Voters should remember the names Charles Dunn, Daniel Travis, Larry Rosso, and Daniel Kelly so that they know who to blame in the future for the misuse of $250,000 of our tax dollars on a new ‘temporary senior center.?
By approving this proposal, they have knowingly opposed the wishes of voters and are going full steam ahead with plans to use our tax dollars to build a new senior center.
The boards actions can be likened to a spoiled child in a candy store that refuses to take no for an answer.
The board has grown tired of hearing ‘no? and has now chosen to steal from taxpayers what it could not get them to approve.
More than $250,000 of our tax dollars are now being stolen from you and me by our ‘trustees? to build a new senior center.
The decision by our paid public servants to raid the general fund for this project is a slap in the face to voters that can only serve as a launch pad for future senior center funding proposals.
It’s time for the board to move on and forget about plans for a new senior center.
Like it or not, that decision has already been made by the people who pay their wages.
The fire marshall should do the community a favor and close down the ‘unsafe liability to the community? that our board has created and free taxpayers from the costs of supporting a program we have continually said we do not want.
