Come share a Valentine with your family at the Valentine Family Dance.
Brandon Township Parks and Recreation will host their very first Valentine Family Dance from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 9 at the Brandon High School cafeteria, 1025 S. Ortonville Road.
Grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and children are invited to come out for a night of coffee, punch, a DJ, and, of course, dancing.
‘It’s a time to take a moment in your life to appreciate your family and family values with a little fun and dancing,? said Parks and Recreation Director Fred Waybrant.
The department, which will also host a Daddy and Daughter dance in late March, used to host a Mother and Son dance, but ultimately decided that a family dance for Valentine’s Day would bring better success. This way, ‘you can take out all your sweethearts,? said Waybrant.
Tickets are currently available and are $12 per person if ordered by Jan. 25. Tickets ordered from Jan. 26 to one hour before the dance will be $15 each. No tickets will be sold at the door, and the dance is casual dress. Children two and under will be free only if ticket requested. Only 350 tickets are available.
