Value of Life

Every single day millions of babies are born, and millions of people die. Rather it be car accidents, fatal diseases, murder, or even suicides.
Due to circumstances that occured this past weekend, this hit a little closer to home than I would like.
Because of the situation that took place, I gave much thought to this life that we have.
Once again, I am reminded that life is a precious gift from God and it should never be taken for granted.
There are friends, family, and people we don’t know who are reaching out for a bit of hope, but often times we become to consumed in our own lives that we don’t take the time to help someone else out.
Obviously we cannot always stop death, but sometimes we can prolong it or at least make it a little easier for the one on their death bed.
It’s amazing the joy that a simple card, or bouquet of flowers can bring that cancer patient in the hospital.
Or how a hug and a shoulder to cry on can relieve some of the pressure for the parents whose son was killed by a drunk driver.
How about having compassion for the one who sits alone at lunch time.
Life can be hard and full of trials, but those trials can be lifted slightly if we are willing to go a little farther to help someone else in need. If we are not afraid to get a little dirt on us.
Having a true friend or family member to call upon when life seems to be too overwhelming is always a blessing.
I am thankful to all those who have reached out their hands to help me, and all those who lifted me up on prayer when I needed a little extra strength to make it through my day or week.
I am asking you to please think about the preciousness of life that we have been given, and to take the time to grab ahold of others in need.
Giving hope to someone elses life is one of the greatest blessings we can recieve. Until next time, God bless!
