The Lake Orion High School varsity boys basketball team didn’t take long to get refueled after the long holiday break: The team celebrated a 67-41 victory over Hazel Park on Jan. 4.
The Dragons were led in scoring by senior Chris O’Dea, who contributed 16 points and tore down eight rebounds.
Freshman Drew Maynard, a recent addition to the varsity team, was second in line for scoring, putting in 14 points. Junior Jon Krause had nine points and 11 rebounds.
Rounding out the top scorers were senior Brad Neary with six points, and senior Kojo Asiedu and junior Marc Thompson with five points each.
On Jan. 7, the team took a 4-2 record up against Waterford Kettering, losing 57-56 in overtime.
O’Dea again led the team with 18 points, while senior Neil Medchill had 14. Asiedu had eight points, while Maynard contributed seven for the Dragons.
Lake Orion hosted Rochester on Jan. 10, and host Stoney Creek on Friday.
