Veterans living in North Oakland County who have served overseas in any war or conflict are invited to join the North Oakland VFW Post 334.
This Post meets the second Thursday of each month.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2005 in the lower level meeting room of the Knight’s of Columbus Hall located at 1400 Orion Road in Lake Orion.
The present 91 members of Post 334 served either in World War 11, Korea or Vietnam.

VFW Post 334 was started in 1984 and in that year Michigan ranked number one in the country in VFW membership.
According to Joe Zikewich there are many Veteran’s Administration programs available that benefit veterans, such as low cost prescriptions and the best way to stay abreast of these benefits is by participating in an organization like the VFW.
Any veterans who are new residents of North Oakland County will find joining the North Oakland Post a way to make new friends in the area.
