‘Almost Maine? is a play about a series of heartfelt, but humorous vignettes showing various couples who fall in and out of love. Director Karen Dobson described it as a ‘snapshot of everybody’s life.?
‘It’s their emotional life and love life and each of them is at a different period,? she said. ‘We got the couple who’s been married 13 years, the woman who’s come back to try to find the love she left. We just see all different elements of a relationship.?
A total of 19 characters are played with only seven actors.
‘We have four new people on stage, which is over half my cast, which is really good to see,? Dobson said. ‘I’m excited about that.?
Cast includes: Mike Cavin, Dan Genre, Jennifer L. Gentry, Cynthia Haaseth, Jim Hoxsey, Tricia Turek, and Jessica Zyrowski
Dobson, who’s been with CVP for the past four years, but involved in theater for over 20 years was part of this season’s script committee and decided to take ‘Almost Maine? for her director debut.
