Village officials have directed Department of Public Works employees to begin construction of a village sledding and ice skating rink in the Commons area.
Several bales of hay, along with snow fence, have been installed to outline the area.
Village Council President Ed York said the cost of the project will be minimal and should be fun for residents.
‘The bales will keep those sledding in the designated area,? said York.
‘It will be small to begin with, and be a great place for kids to sled in the village.?
The village liability insurance currently covers the property.
