Both the village council and township board held public hearings in the last month on potential Community Development Block Grant funding for the 2008 program year.
After each hearing, the subsequent governing body set their funding.
The village allocated $2,500 to HAVEN, a public service organization helping to overcome domestic violence and abuse, while the township allocated $5,000 to the same.
The township also set $26,505 for the North Oakland Transportation Authority and $38,507 to the county home improvement loan program. The remaining $5,538 allocated to the village will go to storm drain management.
