Swan for Life Cancer Foundation of Independence Township is in the running for a Livestrong Foundation grant.
An online vote determines which locations will be awarded funding in 2013. If successful, Swan for Life will receive funds, materials and training to implement the Outpatient Artist in Residence Program.
Swan for Life earned a Livestrong grant in?2012 to bring Art Therapist Lindsey Klingenberg, MA,’LLPC, to its centers in Clarkston and Rochester. She spends time with patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, creating art to’express emotions and aid in healing.
