Independence Township Parks and Recreation invites walkers to join its Walk Michigan program, 8 a.m. or 6 p.m., Thursdays through Aug. 28, starting at Clintonwood Park.
Those who walk the most will win prizes and giveaways, including a Labor Day Bridge Walk trip for two to Mackinac.
