Warhawks to Kearsley/Lake Fenton 100-84

Brandon Twp. — The Warhawks (Brandon-Goodrich) Girls Swimming and Diving team broke a six year losing streak versus the Kearsley Hornets on Oct. 3. The team defeated Lake Fenton/ Kearsley 100-84.
The Lady Warhawks won first in eight events, second in six events, and third in seven events. They earned four best times and two season best times. Claire Witek dropped time in her 200 yard individual medley. Jessica Swift went her best time in the 100 yard freestyle. Carolyn Murphy dropped two seconds in her 100 yard freestyle. Patience McGraw dropped ten seconds in the 500 yard freestyle.
“Some notable events that helped bring the girls their second league matchup victory of the season were as followed,” said Head Coach Ryne Drogemuller.
In the 200 IM Witek and Morgan Fletcher won first and second. In one meter diving Layla Jordan won first, Brooklyn Jordan won second, and Alivia Hill won third.
Haley Bowles surged back to win first in the 100 yard butterfly. Ruby Burton and Abby Alexander won second and third respectively in the 100 yard freestyle. T
he girls had another sweep in the 100 yard backstroke with Fletcher winning first, Jessie Cullen winning second, and Brooklyn Jordan winning third.
