St. Daniel Catholic Community hosts Welcome Home Weekend, Aug. 29-30, in the church lobby after all Masses.
The weekend is intended to remind parishioners about the wide range of programs available to them every week at the parish, as well as to welcome those who are seeking a new parish or have not been to church for awhile.
‘When we started counting, we realized we had more than 40 programs occurring at the parish every week, from faith formation classes, to Christian service outreach opportunities, to book, mom, senior adult, teen and men’s clubs,? said Cheryl Smith, director of Adult Faith Formation. ‘Our buildings are busy with something going on nearly all day and evening throughout the week.?
Parish staff will answer questions, and provide information, materials, and phone cards with details on programs and services.
‘With summer winding down and people returning from vacations for the start of a new school year, it seemed like the perfect time to welcome them home and remind them of the wide variety of ways they can refresh their spirit and celebrate their faith here at St. Daniel Parish,? Smith said.
Masses are scheduled at 5 p.m. on Saturdays; and 7:30, 9 and 11 a.m. on Sundays.
