What’s in the water?

Scripps Middle School students recently participated in an outdoor assignment to develop an action plan to make changes in the environment. They visited Paint Creek in Children’s Park in downtown Lake Orion.
With the help of GM environmental engineers and the Clinton River Watershed Council, the students collected water samples and did physical and chemical testing at the site.
Their goal is to share statistical information with Orion Township and village officials.
General Motors provided Scripps with over $900 worth of science testing equipment and transportation reimbursement for this project.
