The polls for the Tuesday, Nov. 6 general election will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Remember to bring photo identification, such as a driver’s license or state identification card, to present at the polls.
In Oxford Township, voters cast their ballots at the Oxford Veterans Memorial Civic Center (Precinct 1), Oxford Elementary School (Precincts 2 & 7), Oxford Free Methodist Church (Precincts 3 ), Christ the King Church (Precinct 4 & 5) and Oxford Public Library (Precinct 6).
In Addison Township, voters mark their ballots at Rowland Hall in Leonard (Precinct 1), the Addison Twp. office in Lakeville (Precinct 2) and Fire Station #1 in Leonard (Precinct 3).
For those wishing to vote absentee, Oxford Township (300 Dunlap Rd.) is holding special office hours from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. Folks can come in, apply for an absentee ballot and either leave with it or vote right at the office. Saturday is the last day absentee ballots can leave the township office. Deputy Clerk Renee Wilson wished to remind people they can only obtain an absentee ballot for themselves. They cannot apply on someone else’s behalf or pick up one for someone else.
The Addison Township office (1440 Rochester Rd.) will also be open for absentee voters on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
