The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of home invasion at the Orion Cove Apartments on Nov. 7, after a woman there said she saw the shadow of a person in her hallway.
According to an OCSD report, deputies were called to the apartment on Kimberly after a 19-year-old woman said she was asleep in her bedroom when something woke her up. She didn’t know what caused her to wake up, but said she saw the shadow of the shape of a person in her hallway.
The woman didn’t actually see a person, but as she grabbed the phone, she heard the door to the apartment slam shut, and someone jingling keys like they were locking the door.
After the incident, the woman discovered both the locks on her door were locked, as she had left them before going to bed. She lived with her boyfriend but he was at work, and that only her boyfriend and grandmother had keys to the apartment.
She told deputies that the apartment management told her the locks had been changed prior to her renting the apartment. Nothing was missing.
