The sun may be shining overhead, but it was still dark in downtown Clarkston, Wednesday.
Stoplights were out at Washington and Main Street, and traffic backed up along southbound M-15 heading into town from I-75.
The downtown area was wiithout power since Monday afternoon, when downed limbs’which fell during Sunday’s storm’caused wires to short out.
According to Bob Pursley, the city’s DPW director, DTE has Clarkston on a priority list, and expected to have the power back up by sometime Wednesday.
Like the rest of downtown, the Clarkston News was also without electricity, making phones, faxes and computers inoperable.
