As a mother, Jeanette Fellows of Clarkston knows all about giving. She’ll get to receive some goodies for a change, as the winner of Clarkston Cleaning Services’ Mother’s Day Gift Basket contest.
“She is so giving, that her receiving would be something unfamiliar to her,” said her daughter Bethany Rocho, who nominated Fellows. “I try my best to spoil her whenever I can, but I feel as though I’ll never be able to thank her for the countless things she does to better our world.”
Rocho, a school teacher at Bailey Lake Elementary, also encouraged her students to nominate their mothers.
“I’m sure numerous entries will be received on your end and they will all blend together, as in the eyes of the beholder, everyone’s mom is the best,” Rocho said.
“Moms are amazing human beings, no doubt. Personally, I think they are superheroes. Think about all the things they do, the CEO of a household, a personal chef, most of the time for picky eaters, head cheerleader of their child/children, housekeeper, taxi driver, judge, hair stylist, family therapist, errand runner, janitor, teacher, finance manager, search and rescue, for lost things, and so much more! The jobs a mother holds are endless and they are a labor of love.”
Fellows would appreciate the items in the basket more than words could describe, Rocho said in her nomination.
“I can only imagine the smile that would spread from ear to ear if she were the one to win this valuable prize. She is an amazing person, both inside and out. If she is selected, and you are able to meet her, you’ll be able to understand why she is so deserving within seconds of meeting her. I am honored to nominate such a deserving mother,” she said.
“My mom wears many different hats, even at one time. She puts everyone before herself- family, friends, and even strangers. She would do just about anything to make those around her smile. I think all moms deserve this wonderful gift basket, not only around Mother’s Day, but all throughout the year. Moms don’t hear enough how much they are loved and appreciated.”
Local businesses Chocolate Moose, Rumph Chiropractic Clinic, and Grondins on Dixie donated items for the gift basket.
