The Oxford Women’s Club awarded six Oxford High School seniors back in May with $1,600 scholarships.
The recipients included Catherine Bartz, Austin Sliter, Scott Randall, Kylie Reis, Chloe Straub and Skye Kennedy.
The money for these scholarships was raised through the sale of Christmas roping, a Wine Tasting event and a Fashion Show. Additional donations were made to FISH, the OHS Senior All-night party and the Girls State summer program.
The Club has been awarding scholarships for more than 40 years and each year, the recipients are move impressive. The desire to achieve higher education as well as the hope to give back to the community is outstanding.
