The Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority welcomed dogs of all shapes and sizes into town for their annual Dog Days of August last week.
The new Doggie-Mayor elect is Ruby, a golden retreiver owned by Kim Reed of Waterford (see front page for photo). And, after tough deliberations from the judges, other winners were… Smallest dog: Ava, owned by Kara Menning; Biggest dog: Remington, owned by Greg Kitts; Cutest dog: Dexter, owned by Emily Lyon; Ugliest dog: Daisy, owned by Phil Calvert; Best costume: Reilly, owned by Sue Lauctot; Looks most like owner: Milo, owned by Agnes Savin; Best singer: Finnegan, owned by Evan Santini; and Best Trick: Max, owned by Judy Narducci.
