Approximately 900 customers in the Oxford area, including many businesses along M-24, lost power for an hour Tuesday morning.
According to DTE Energy Spokesman John Austerberry, the outage occurred at 8:44 a.m. and power was restored to all customers at 9:45 a.m.
As for what caused the short-lived blackout, Austerberry was unsure. He said it had something to do with a ‘tree limb? and was most likely related to the high winds and rain the area experienced that morning.
