Stand Strength Team passes on message

Brandon Twp. – While they can’t be found in the World Wrestling arena, names like ‘Crush,? ‘Big Buck,? or the ‘Human Shredder,? might conjure up images of theatrical dramas.
Not so, however of Chris ‘Crush? Rusher of the Stand Strength Team ministries who says the strength team is dedicated to helping kids make the right choices, taking responsibility, and overcoming peer pressure.
The team of athletes are known as the number one school assembly program in the nation.
With feats of power and strength, men like ‘Crush? use athletic skill to act out messages of abstinence, antidrug and alcohol, self esteem, peer pressure, and excellence to children nationally and the world.
A quote from their website says the team focus is for kids to help them make the right choices and to know they can make a difference.
The group have performed their athletic excellence at churches, camps, schools, and prisons in hopes of inspiring the emotional and spiritual soul of the onlooker.
‘We are on a mission for the families and youth of North America, Canada, Mexico and the world,? said Rusher who has been with STAND Strength Team for five years, following a 14 year association with the professional athletic competition Highland Games.
‘We do demostrations like the farmer walk or the mountains where we put 315 pounds in each hand to illustrate if you think it’s too hard you can’t do it,? said Rusher.
‘We use our background to communicate the message of the Bible.?
