Goodrich – Street-classification changes may mean federal and state dollars for two village roads.
Village officials received word May 5 that a request to reclassify Pontiac and Erie streets has been approved.
Merely the initial step in the process, the classification upgrade could eventually translate to federal or state funding for improvements like milling and resurfacing, or curbing and guttering of Pontiac and Erie streets, said Village of Goodrich Administrator Jakki Sidge at the May 9 village council meeting.
‘It makes us eligible to make application? for funding for village roads other than Hegel Road, Sidge said.
