Tuesday, August 9 A wave board worth about $600 was stolen from a vehicle on Pembroke.
A 64-year-old man’s home on West Oakwood Rd. was broken into. Only $20 in change was stolen. There are no suspects at this time.
An intoxicated, bipolar man left a bar on Washington St. after the owner told him to leave. He tried to enter a home on Mill St., but it was locked. He was found at another home on Mill St. in the basement sitting in a cardboard box. He had a felony warrant from the Michigan Department of Corrections. The resident declined to press any charges and the man was transported to POH for mental evaluation.
Wednesday, August 10 Three large drums of soap were missing from the side of a business on S. Lapeer Rd. Each drum is worth $400 and weighs approximately 600 pounds. A security camera caught a red Ford pick-up truck with three white males taking the drums. A license plate couldn’t be read, but the owner said he recognized a former employee.
A 16-year-old male on a day pass to go to the dentist ran away from Crossroads for Youth.
A wallet, sunglasses and $10 in cash were stolen from a car on Division St.
Thursday, August 11 A glove box was rummaged through and a homemade sub-woofer was missing from an unlocked car on Dennison.
All four tires on a car on Willow St. were slashed.
A windshield of a vehicle on W. Burdick was smashed.
A large group of juveniles were loitering behind Centennial Park. They left when police asked them to.
Friday, August 12 A seven month pregnant wife reported a physical and verbal argument with her husband at their home on Oakwood. He tried to leave in his truck and when she tried to stop him, she fell to the ground. She claims he tried to run over her. The couple agreed to work things out.
A white man driving a truck with a black trailer and chrome bottom pumped $66 worth of gasoline and $12 of diesel from a gas station on N. Lapeer Rd. and left without paying.
A 35-year-old man driving without a license plate, no insurance and no proof of ownership had the vehicle impounded. He claims he had just bought it from a friend.
A 40-year-old man from Rochester Hills was pulled over for not having tail lights. The officer found a pack of beer in the back missing a bottle. The driver showed him a half empty open bottle and was ticketed for having an open bottle. The man was not intoxicated.

Saturday, August 13 Two women babysitting at a home were confronted by the father’s girlfriend. She was upset with the babysitters for no apparent reason and began a physical altercation with them, punching her boyfriend and one of the other girls. The babysitters ran to a gas station on Lapeer Rd. and called the police. The girls will be pressing charges.
Three males ages 15, 16 and 17 reportedly ran away from Crossroads for Youth.
A boyfriend became verbally abusive and threatened his girlfriend at their home on Davison. He was intoxicated and punched out the front window on the home.
A vehicle on Dennison was hit with paint balls by another vehicle that was passing by.
Sunday, August 14 Reports of a 16-year-old male from Crossroads for Youth having marijuana in his sock. An employee at Crossroads was suspicious of the teen.
A 52-year-old female was found dead in her apartment by her landlord on West St. She was a diabetic and had been taken to the hospital for a heart attack the week before. It appears she had another heart attack. No foul play was suspected.
A 58-year-old man from Waterford was arrested for operating while under the influence on N. Washington St. He was swerving from lane to lane and even crossed the center lane. He blew a .15.

Monday, August 15 A credit card was stolen on Augusta and was charged $500.
A semi-truck driver was driving south on Lapeer Rd. just south of Drahner when something hit his moon roof and shattered it. He believes it may have been a golf ball.
A generator worth $529 was stolen from an unlocked shed on Beckley St.
Reports of a vehicle larceny on Inverness. A cd collection, vehicle registration, insurance and a garage door opener were stolen from an unlocked car.
Also on Inverness, $10 in cash, a credit and debit card, drivers license and package of cigarettes were stolen out of an unlocked car.
A company lap top computer, writing tablets, computer case and a mini jet printer totaling $3,858 were stolen from a van on Augusta.
The face of a radio was stolen out of an unlocked car on Cypress.
A passport, garage door opener and cd was stolen from an unlocked car on Doral Dr.
A lap top and cell phone were stolen from an unlocked car on Island Lake Cresent.
A student at a tutoring center on Washington St. was approached by a stranger in a red car. The man was an employee of the businesses and just wanted to know if she wanted a ride home.
An elderly woman with Alzheimers on First St. called police saying she was afraid to go into her house.
Tuesday, August 16 Reports of credit card fraud at a store on N. Lapeer Rd. The card was stolen from a woman’s purse in her vehicle.
